Since 2000, Petrolera El Trebol has focused its activity in Argentina. The board of directors and the management believe this region represents an attractive investment opportunity primarily due to:

• the existence of significant numbers of underdeveloped and underexploited fields as a result of decades of state owned operations;

• the availability of underdeveloped and underexploited small to medium sized fields, which have been divested by large oil and gas companies due to asset rationalization and industry consolidation; and

• service/construction companies, which acquired oil fields during the privatization process, divesting these assets to focus on their core business further increasing the pool of available opportunities.

With almost a hundred years of history, the oil industry in Argentina is fully developed. Several of the major oil companies from North America and Europe are active in the country and top professionals and state of the art technologies are readily available. Argentina, currently a net oil exporter, is offering investment and growth opportunities in the exploration and production (E&P) sector to private companies, while granting them access to the international markets.
