The Atuel Norte license is located in the Province of Mendoza, next to Trefoil’s wholly owned Puesto Rojas and Cerro Mollar licenses and 360 Km (220 miles) south of Chañares Herrados, Puesto Pozo Cercado, Atamisqui and Tupungato, and covers 525 Km2 (130,000 acres).
Through a farm-in agreement with Tecpetrol S.A. (operator), and Petrobrás Energía S.A., Trefoil acquired a 33% working interest in the this license.
Atuel Norte has a total of 27 wells drilled and when acquired was producing 40 BOPD. The first step on the planned exploration program for this license was to acquire 3D seismic covering the whole area. Contingent upon the interpretation such 3D seismic, the JV would drill up to three exploration wells.
